Well a touch of snow was fun and a real novelty after so many years in Oz, however an ice cold studio – not fun.

But no excuses a chilly run down the garden path to my converted pig sty aka studio each morning gets the blood running and the heater soon raises the temperature above freezing.

Even ventured out for a local plein air session on one of our bright wintery days!!

So what’s on the easel currently ? Having finished a series of 4 racing subjects, for the latest equine I ´’went back’ to Australia to depict a Brumby, one of the wild mountain horses that roam the High Country. This fellow faces us defiantly as his breed diminish in numbers and the legend of the brumby risks disappearing into the past.
